This release includes 8 new features, 29 improvements, 67 bug fixes and 17 security patches. Here are some highlights:
- Re-licensed from the GNU GPL to the GNU Affero GPL v3 (AGPL for short), effective September 1, 2026.
- New cloud container mode with PID 1 alignment (faster SIGTERM response), liveness and readiness endpoints.
- 51 new built-in metrics are published through the OpenTelemetry (OTel) API, useful for Prometheus, Grafana Cloud, DataDog, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, Splunk, etc.
- New database health check pre-flight circuit breaker to skip jobs and reject sync requests during database outages.
- Migrated logging framework from Log4j2 to Logback for faster, more advanced logging capabilities.
- Java version 21 is now required.
